Your Impact

Primary Job Function:As a member of the FP&A team, the Senior Financial Analyst will partner to lead the Abbott EPD financials by running the planning process and generating insights into our markets and affiliates. He/She will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of the financial reports / submissions, will lead ad-hoc financial analysis, and will play an active role in maintaining and improving the FP&A processes.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and lead EPD planning process
• Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics / Prepare periodic management reports
• Take a key role in RLBE preparation
• Provide financial models and forecasting.

Position Accountability/Scope

• Lead the EPD planning process, including preparation of guidance and tools, actively communicate with key stakeholders and anticipate challenges / opportunities
• Lead specific financial reports (such as EPD vs Market, Price, Investor Relations and Board of Directors), generating insights for the customers
• Consolidate and analyze financial data, ensuring accurate and on time submission of management Packages and corporate templates
• Prepare financial models and generate ad hoc analysis as required by senior management, ensuring reliability and accuracy of financial information provided
• Identify and drive process improvements, including creation and continuous improvement of standard reports / tools

Minimum Education

–Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent. MBA degree is an asset

• Excellent analytical skills and good numerical reasoning
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence in a matrix and at Senior Management level
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a keen eye on making deadlines
• A critical thinker, highly collaborative and able to work cross functionally
• Work efficiently and independently
• Very good command of written and spoken English
