Exyte Basel invites a skilled HVAC engineer to join the team, focusing on design and support for building services systems in GMP-regulated pharma and biotech projects.

You will cover concept development through commissioning, coordinating with stakeholders and contributing to feasibility studies, tenders, and cost estimates. Strong German language skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in HVAC design in GMP environments.
• Experience with ventilation design in pharma/biotech settings.
• Knowledge of standards such as SIA, VDI, DIN or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and sizing of ventilation and air conditioning systems in GMP-regulated environments.
• Design of room air and process air systems.
• Development of heating, cooling, steam, and condensate systems.
• Design of sanitary systems and utility supply systems.
• Preparation of concepts, specifications, and technical calculations.
• Coordination of HVAC disciplines with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support for feasibility studies, tenders, and procurement processes.
• Participation in cost estimates and proposal preparation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, and safety requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and support of the implementation of building services systems with a focus on HVAC for challenging pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects. You will support projects throughout all phases, from concept development through to commissioning.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Design and sizing of ventilation and air conditioning systems in GMP-regulated environments
• Design of room air and process air systems
• Development and design of heating, cooling, steam, and condensate systems
• Design of sanitary systems and utility supply systems
• Preparation of concepts, specifications, and technical calculations
• Coordination of HVAC disciplines with internal and external project stakeholders
• Support for feasibility studies, tenders, and procurement processe

• Ensuring compliance with GMP, quality, and safety requirements

Show your expertise

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Building Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in a similar role or several years of experience in HVAC system design
• Experience in ventilation design, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP-regulated environment
• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (SIA, VDI, DIN, or equivalent)
• Experience with CAD and/or BIM design tools is an advantage
• Fluent German and good English language skills
• Structured and solution-oriented working style, with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork
