Job summary

Georg Fischer seeks a Software Engineer Embedded Systems & Technical Lead to own embedded and machine software for our Jointing Solutions portfolio. You will spend ~30% coding and 70% steering external partners to ensure high-quality, future-ready solutions.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years’ experience are required. Responsibilities include software design, development, requirements definition, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
6+ years in software development, incl. embedded/machine software.
Strong C/C++ skills; experience with Java or C#/.NET.
Experience coordinating external development partners.
Knowledge of Requirements and Systems Engineering methods.
EU work permit or citizenship is essential.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded and machine software.
Lead and coordinate external software development partners.
Define software requirements, interfaces, and system concepts.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps integrations.
Plan, execute, and oversee integration, verification, and acceptance testing.
Take ownership of software approvals and drive process improvements.
