TalentCloud Group in Zurich region seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team. The role focuses on hands-on embedded software development close to hardware, with emphasis on Linux/Unix, real-time systems and kernel programming.

You will design, develop and maintain embedded software, kernel drivers and BSPs across long lifecycle systems in a collaborative, technically deep environment. English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• This is a senior, hands-on embedded software development role with 7+ years of experience.
• Strong C programming and low-level/Linux exposure are required.
• Experience developing kernel or device drivers and RT systems is essential.
• Knowledge of Yocto, U-Boot, BSPs and device trees is desirable.
• Excellent English communication; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop and maintain embedded and low-level software.
• Develop real-time applications primarily using C.
• Work extensively within Linux/Unix environments.
• Develop and maintain Linux kernel and device drivers.
• Work on Linux kernel customisation, configuration and compilation.
• Develop device trees, filesystems, libraries and Linux images.
• Develop and adapt BSPs for varied hardware.
• Collaborate with electronics and other engineering specialists.
• Support hardware/software integration, testing and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot issues at the hardware/software boundary.
