Job summary

Auterion is seeking a Senior Embedded Performance Engineer to push the limits of embedded Linux, low-latency video, and high-performance data pipelines across AuterionOS. You will work close to hardware and across the stack to optimize milliseconds, bandwidth, startup time, and system efficiency.

You’ll collaborate with engineers across Auterion on performance-critical components, from kernel to application level, delivering measurable improvements in real-world deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with object-oriented C++ and Python.
• Deep experience with embedded Linux systems, including cross-compilation and profiling.
• Hands-on background diagnosing and optimizing real-world system behavior.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and maintain performance-critical components within AuterionOS.
• Improve end-to-end system latency, throughput, and resource efficiency.
• Analyze demanding workloads like real-time telemetry and video streaming.
• Investigate bottlenecks across the stack from kernel to application level.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate use cases into solutions.
• Propose platform capabilities with measurable performance gains.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and release planning.
