Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

The Senior Director, Epidemiology, Europe is responsible for leading the development and execution of epidemiology strategy and evidence generation activities supporting Revolution Medicines assets across the product lifecycle. The individual will work across Clinical Development, Global Patient Safety, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, RWE/HEOR, Market Access, and Commercial functions to provide strategic epidemiologic leadership and deliver epidemiologic evidence that informs clinical development, regulatory, safety, reimbursement, and market access decision‑making. The Senior Director will serve as a senior scientific leader and epidemiology subject‑matter expert on cross‑functional teams, providing strategic direction and scientific leadership for epidemiology evidence generation throughout the product lifecycle.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Head of Epidemiology & RWD Strategy, the Senior Director will serve as a strategic scientific partner to regional and global stakeholders, ensuring epidemiology strategies are aligned with clinical development, regulatory, safety, and evidence generation objectives. The role will serve as the senior epidemiology lead supporting Europe-based epidemiology activities while ensuring consistency with global epidemiology strategy, portfolio priorities, and development objectives.

The Senior Director will serve as the regional epidemiology leader for Europe across assigned assets and indications, providing strategic oversight for epidemiology evidence generation activities and ensuring alignment with clinical development, regulatory, safety, HTA, reimbursement, and market access objectives. The individual will identify emerging evidence needs, influence portfolio evidence generation strategy, and ensure regional priorities are aligned with the global epidemiology strategy. Deliverables may include burden of illness studies, unmet need assessments, incidence and prevalence estimates, patient population assessments, natural history studies, treatment pattern studies, healthcare resource utilization analyses, external comparator studies, trial contextualization studies, and other epidemiologic evidence supporting regulatory submissions, orphan drug designation applications, HTA, Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA), reimbursement, and market access activities.

The Senior Director will closely partner with Global Patient Safety to provide strategic epidemiologic expertise supporting safety signal evaluation, benefit‑risk assessments, and the design and execution of post‑approval safety studies globally. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the advancement of oncology by generating innovative epidemiology and real‑world evidence that will shape the future of patient care. The Director will also contribute to the continued development of epidemiology best practices, standards, and operating procedures within the Epidemiology function.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:
  • PhD / DSc / DrPH in epidemiology or a relevant advanced science degree and at least 12 years of epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, regulatory, academic, or healthcare research environment.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of pharmacoepidemiologic methods and real‑world oncology data sets as well as the use of appropriate biostatistical methods.
  • Experience supporting evidence generation activities across clinical development, regulatory, safety, or market access functions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing epidemiology strategies supporting multiple clinical development programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior cross‑functional stakeholders and drive scientific decision‑making within global matrix organizations.
  • Experience leading complex cross‑functional initiatives and external scientific collaborations.
  • Experience mentoring scientists and contributing to organizational capability development.
  • Excellent analytic and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality, and scientific rigor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in matrix teams.
  • Demonstrated scientific communication skills, including authorship of peer‑reviewed publications and scientific presentations.
  • Experience working effectively within global, cross‑functional, matrixed organizations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in oncology epidemiology or oncology pharmacoepidemiology within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience supporting regulatory submissions, orphan drug designation applications, HTA, Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA), reimbursement submissions, or market access activities.
  • Experience driving from conception to completion post‑approval safety studies using RWD submitted to global regulators.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies, health technology assessment organizations, or reimbursement bodies.
  • Experience leading global epidemiology evidence generation strategies across multiple assets or indications.
  • Experience managing external epidemiology vendors, academic collaborations, and research partnerships.
  • Familiarity with oncology electronic health record, claims, registry, and/or clinico‑genomic data sources.
  • Experience working within global development programs and cross‑functional matrix organizations.
