Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in Data Architecture or Data Engineering.
• Enterprise-scale cloud data ecosystems design/implementation.
• Hands-on with AWS and Google Cloud; Snowflake/Databricks experience.
• Data modelling incl. Data Vault; various modelling forms.
• Experience integrating ERP, CRM, MDM, APIs and databases.
• Led technical teams on client projects; strong communication.
• Consulting background preferred; stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of data governance and DevOps for data platforms.

About the opportunity

We are currently supporting a leading AI & Data consulting practice in Switzerland that is expanding its senior architecture team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Data Architect to work with major organisations across Switzerland, helping them modernise complex data landscapes and build scalable, cloud-based data platforms.

You will work directly with senior business and technology stakeholders, shaping enterprise data strategies and leading the architecture and delivery of innovative data, analytics and AI solutions.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Data Architect, you will:

• Lead the design of enterprise data architectures across complex environments involving ERP, CRM, MDM, cloud data warehouses and other business-critical systems.
• Design and implement modern cloud data platforms using technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake and Databricks.
• Define end-to-end architectures covering data modelling, integration, transformation, DevOps and data governance.
• Architect integrations between cloud data platforms, MDM/CRM solutions and AI/GenAI platforms.
• Lead technical teams across onshore, nearshore and offshore environments.
• Define architecture standards, technical blueprints and solution design documentation.
• Make architecture decisions that balance performance, scalability, cost and maintainability.
• Work closely with senior client stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Support business development activities, client workshops, industry events and the development of new consulting opportunities.
• Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers.
• Stay at the forefront of developments in data, cloud, AI and GenAI technologies.

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with a strong engineering background and proven experience delivering complex cloud data platforms.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud data ecosystems.
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms:
• AWS
• Google Cloud
• Strong experience with Snowflake, Databricks or equivalent modern data platforms.
• Previous hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, including SQL, Python and/or Spark.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and integration.
• Experience with data modelling, including:
• Conceptual, logical and physical modelling
• Data Vault
• Normalised and denormalised data models
• Experience integrating data from systems such as ERP, CRM, MDM, APIs and operational databases.
• Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex client projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Consulting experience/background
