FORFIRM is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Consultant to join our international team in Switzerland. You will lead data-driven initiatives, design analytics architectures, and mentor junior colleagues across Power BI projects for Swiss and European clients.

The role involves working with stakeholders, modelling data, and delivering high-impact dashboards and KPI frameworks. Fluent English and Italian are required, with a strong consulting mindset and analytical problem-solving skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, BI, or Data Warehousing.
• Strong expertise in SQL development and relational databases.
• Experience designing and developing Microsoft Power BI solutions.
• Fluent English and Italian.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Data Analytics Consultant to join our international team and contribute to strategic data and reporting initiatives for leading Swiss and European organizations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Data Analytics Consultant will act as a trusted advisor for clients and internal stakeholders, supporting the design and implementation of data-driven solutions that enable effective decision-making and business transformation.

The role combines consulting expertise, data modelling capabilities, advanced SQL development, and Business Intelligence competencies. The selected candidate will lead analytical initiatives, interact directly with business stakeholders and management teams, and contribute to the definition of modern data architectures and reporting frameworks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analytics & Consulting

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and analytical requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable data and reporting solutions.
• Lead workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and analytical assessments.
• Support clients in defining KPI frameworks and performance measurement models.
• Act as a trusted advisor for data-driven decision-making initiatives.

Data Modeling & Data Architecture

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Define dimensional data models (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema) supporting enterprise reporting needs.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Architects to define scalable analytics architectures.
• Support data governance, master data management, and data quality initiatives.
• Ensure consistency, integrity, and sustainability of analytical data platforms.

SQL Development & Data Analysis

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and database objects.
• Perform advanced data analysis and profiling activities.
• Conduct data reconciliation and root cause investigations.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities.
• Support data migration and transformation initiatives.

Power BI & Business Intelligence

• Design and develop enterprise-grade dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Develop advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, measures, and semantic models.
• Implement reporting best practices and governance standards.
• Support executive reporting and management dashboards.
• Ensure performance optimization and scalability of reporting solutions.

Leadership & Project Delivery

• Act as senior reference point within client engagements.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants and analysts.
• Collaborate with project managers in defining scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and business development activities.
• Support pre-sales initiatives related to Data & Analytics services.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in SQL development and relational databases.
• Solid experience in conceptual, logical, dimensional, and physical data modeling.
• Proven experience designing and developing solutions with Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and semantic model design.
• Experience interacting directly with business stakeholders and senior management.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English and Italian.
