IonQ seeks a Principal Engineer to own the classical cryptography architecture for PQC hardware acceleration products, ensuring strong key management, crypto agility, and migration paths within HSM and network appliances.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD and 12+ years of experience in cryptography, with deep knowledge of symmetric/asymmetric primitives and deployment with TLS/IPsec ecosystems. English fluency is essential, French/German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s or PhD in Cryptography, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field; 12+ years’ exp in cryptography.
• Strong command of symmetric and asymmetric primitives, modes, key management and entropy generation; FIPS 140-3/CC experience.
• Solid working knowledge of NIST PQC standards and hybrid classical/PQC scheme design.

• Own the classical cryptography architecture and implementation strategy for product lines.
• Define crypto‑agility and migration mechanisms to quantum‑safe deployments.
