Zusammenfassung

CERN in Geneva invites a Mechanical Engineer to join the EN-CV-PJ project section, coordinating cooling and ventilation projects for installation, upgrade and consolidation of systems for accelerators and experiments. You will gather user requirements, perform feasibility studies, and prepare technical specifications for tendering and contract follow-up.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, experience in HVAC and cooling systems, and proven project and contract

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• PMI/PMI certification would be an asset.
• Experience in design, construction and testing of industrial cooling systems including equipment and instrumentation.
• Experience in HVAC design and hydraulic components.
• Proven experience in contract management.
• Demonstrated experience in project management.

Aufgaben

• Define user requirements from main stakeholders and pursue feasible solutions.
• Perform feasibility studies and detailed designs for cooling/HVAC systems with sizing and cost estimates.
• Write technical reports and notes; draw up technical specifications and tender documents.
• Follow up tendering processes up to contract adjudication and monitor project progress.
• Coordinate contractors and oversee cost and schedule to commissioning and acceptance.
• Support operation teams in troubleshooting and process improvement of plants.
• Contribute to internal procedures, technical prescriptions and standardisation.
