Job summary

Du kommer att driva riskhantering, möjlighetsutnyttjande och avtalstillämplning genom hela projektets livscykel, samtidigt som du säkerställer överensstämmelse med policyer och ramverk i en internationell miljö.

Qualifications

• Erfarenhet av att hantera kontrakt och krav över flera projekt och gränser.
• God förståelse för riskhantering och affärsdrivna beslut.
• Starka kommunikationsfärdigheter på engelska och spanska; tyska ses som fördel.
• Förmåga att arbeta tvärfunktionellt med olika intressenter i internationell miljö.

Responsibilities

• Säkerställa att kontraktshantering följer ramverk, riktlinjer och policyer.
• Analysera kontraktvillkor för att identifiera affärsmässiga möjligheter och risker genom hela projektlivet.
• Utveckla kontraktshanteringsstrategi i enlighet med ABB:s policyer och kundens krav.
• Värna ABB:s kontraktsmässiga intressen gentemot kunder och leverantörer under projektets livscykel.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to set out the strategy in consultation with the business and other functions for the provision of contract management services within your assigned area of responsibility focusing on execution. You will ensure that all contract management activities are executed in accordance with corporate/division/business policies and procedures, Contract Management Policy, Contract Management Framework, and established contract management and risk management practices, with a focus on risk mitigation and opportunity maximization. You will take a holistic and solution orientated approach to contract management, with a cross-border, cross-business line, and cross-division perspective, while promoting collaboration and a broader, common interests attitude to reaching objectives.

The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid (min. office presence of 60% if based in Switzerland)

This role is contributing to the Process Industries Division. Main stakeholders are Sales, Operations, Procurement, Legal and Integrity, Trade Compliance, HSE, Controlling and Commercial Management.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Ensuring that the portfolio of contract management services within the assigned area of responsibility follow contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with Contract Management Framework, best practices for contract and risk management and relevant policies and procedures.
• Analyzing the contract terms to highlight, flag and address the areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions, and conflicts, throughout the project lifecycle.
• Developing contract management strategy in line with ABB’s policies and procedures, customer requirements, and the overall execution strategy, considering the risk, pricing, scope, and schedule.
• Enforcing and defending ABB's contractual interests against customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle, including monitoring and assessment of changes and deviations, as well as defending and enforcing commercial claims.

Qualifications for the role:

• A Senior Contract & Claims Manager with a business and commercially driven, pragmatic mindset who can act as a bridge with various stakeholders and interested parties, understanding that good results are achieved through solution-oriented collaboration.
• A flare for contract and risk management.
• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Contract Management or in any related field, plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience in international contract management in the field of systems delivery for industrial customers or suppliers.
• Proficient oral and written English and Spanish fluency is required. Other languages such as German are a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel to customer meetings and to ABB offices.
