Job summary

Startupvalleys in Bern seeks a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to lead a medical device software team. You will own architecture, guide delivery, and mentor developers while shaping long-term technical directions.

You will develop core features in modern C++ and Qt, review code, promote quality standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, compliance, and clinically relevant software. This is a leadership role with a practical, hands-on focus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in modern C++, including several years in a lead role.
• Experience with Qt Widgets on Windows; QML is a plus.
• Experience with software architecture of large C++ applications.
• Experience with unit testing and test automation.
• Experience with agile methods (e.g., Scrum).
• Experience in medical device software (IEC 62304, ISO 14971) or safety-critical domains is a plus.
• Professional English skills; German is a plus.
