Merck’s Schachen Biotech facility near Lucerne, an on-site hub for biologics development, seeks a senior Process Engineer. You will lead evaluation, qualification, and implementation of innovative equipment and digital solutions supporting GMP manufacturing and technology transfer.

You will collaborate with global teams to bring new technologies into development and clinical manufacturing, driving compliant and efficient operations and mentoring colleagues in technical excellence.

Qualifikationen

• >7 years in pharma/biotech, senior role with cross-functional projects.

Aufgaben

• Lead evaluation, implementation, and qualification of new technologies, equipment, automation, and digital solutions to advance biologics manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership for technology transfer, process improvement, and manufacturing projects across GMP operations.
• Act as SME for process engineering activities including equipment selection, qualification strategies, risk assessments, and capital investments.
• Drive implementation of new manufacturing technologies to simplify operations and strengthen compliance.
• Provide technical leadership for Single-Use Technology (SUT) systems including lifecycle support from design through operations.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Validation, Automation, and Process Development to solve complex challenges and deliver improvements.
• Author and approve key engineering and GMP documentation (URs, CQs, change controls, risk assessments, SOPs, protocols, reports).
• Support knowledge management and mentorship while ensuring GMP, safety, and compliance.
