Job summary

Frontify is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and evolve our Backend Platform. You will design and maintain reusable libraries, SDKs, APIs, and services that empower Frontify product teams to scale and deliver software with confidence.

You will strengthen CI/CD practices, tooling, and developer experience, while working with containers and Kubernetes to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in backend web application development with PHP/Java/Python/Go or similar languages, and willingness to use PHP as the primary language.
• Hands-on experience building reusable libraries, SDKs, APIs, frameworks, or internal tools.
• Strong understanding of API design, automated testing, and backward compatibility including GraphQL and REST.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable backend libraries, SDKs, APIs, and shared services supporting product teams across Frontify.
• Drive platform improvements to simplify development and increase autonomy for product teams.
• Improve developer experience through clear abstractions, documentation, tooling, and self-service solutions.
