Job summary

Xebia Group in Zurich is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure, using Terraform for IaC and container tech like Docker and Kubernetes. You will strengthen monitoring with Grafana/Checkmk, embed security checks into deployments, and apply AI-assisted automation across the SDLC.

You will collaborate with agile teams (SAFe/Scrum) and work onsite in Zurich up to 40%, with a EU work permit required to join our international engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional DevOps experience.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience IaC using Terraform and container tech Docker/Kubernetes.
• Monitoring with Grafana/Checkmk and security-in-CI/CD practices.
• Experience applying AI tools to DevOps tasks and documentation.
• Agile environment experience (SAFe/Scrum) and proactive problem-solving.
• German C1 or native, English min B2; able to work onsite in Zurich up to 40%.
• EU work permit required to join.

You will be:

• designing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes in an Azure environment,
• managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform,
• working with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes,
• maintaining monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as Grafana and Checkmk,
• integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines to support secure software delivery,
• applying AI tools to everyday DevOps tasks, including code and script generation, automation, and technical documentation,
• collaborating with engineering teams to improve deployment processes, infrastructure reliability, and operational efficiency,
• contributing to Agile delivery processes using SAFe, Scrum, or similar frameworks.

Your profile:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer,
• practical experience with Microsoft Azure,
• strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes,
• experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes,
• experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Checkmk, or equivalent solutions,
• hands-on experience using AI tools in DevOps work, for example to generate code and scripts, automate tasks, or create technical documentation,
• understanding of security practices and experience integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines,
• experience working in Agile environments, using SAFe, Scrum, or similar frameworks,
• strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving infrastructure and delivery processes,
• German at C1 level or native proficiency, with the ability to understand Swiss German,
• good command of English (min. B2),
• availability to work onsite in Zurich for up to 40% of the time.
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• experience working in public-sector organizations or public companies,
• experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
• interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
