Job summary

KPMG in Switzerland seeks experienced auditors to lead financial and regulatory audits at client sites under Swiss and international standards. You will plan engagements, supervise staff, and deliver pragmatic accounting solutions for complex regulatory challenges in the Swiss financial services sector.

Fluency in French and English is essential, with German a plus. You will develop client relationships, contribute to business development, and act as a trusted advisor within a diverse team,

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Controlling and/or Audit.
• Completed further training to become a federal Certified Public Accountant.
• 6-8 years' experience as an auditor in an audit firm or internal auditor in Banks or Investment Firms.
• Good knowledge of banking accounting principles applicable in Switzerland.
• Knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements applicable to financial sector (laws, ordinance, FINMA circulars and self-regulation).
• Interest and aptitude for Business development activities.
• Excellent knowledge of French and English, German is a plus.
• Excellent communication and team work skills, strong attention to details.
• Dedication to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial and regulatory audits under international or Swiss accounting standards (CO, US GAAP, IFRS or RVB-FINMA) at clients' premises.
• Audit clients' compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to create pragmatic solutions for accounting, processes, and systems.
• Plan engagements and manage staff involved in engagements.
• Engage in client relationship management and help acquire new clients.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients and build a professional network in Swiss Financial Services.
