Job summary

EY in Switzerland is seeking an experienced audit professional to manage audits of companies headquartered in Switzerland and multinational groups. You will develop trusted client relationships, lead teams and adapt auditing approaches to complex accounting scenarios.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in external audit, Big Four experience is a plus, and strong French communication skills with English/German assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or related fields.
• Swiss CPA or similar diploma (DEC, ACCA) in progress or completed.
• 5–7 years in external audit; Big Four experience is a plus.
• Managerial experience leading an audit team in international environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in French; English and German assets.

• Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage audits of company(ies) headquartered in Switzerland and/or subsidiaries of multinational groups
• Help build trust and confidence through transparency, clarity and consistency
• Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction.
• Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
• Direct daily fieldwork, inform Senior Managers and Partners of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.
• Coach more junior audit team members on accounting and auditing matters.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE

• A bachelor/master's degree in either Accounting, Audit & Management Control, Corporate Finance, Business Administration or Economics
• You are/about to be in possession of a certified public accountants' diploma or other similar diploma (Swiss CPA, DEC, ACCA, etc.).
• 5-7 years' experience in external audit, an experience in a Big Four is a plus
• Managerial experience in leading an audit team in an international environment, coaching audit staffs and seniors on technical accounting/auditing procedures, liaising with audit specialists
• Experience in Swiss Regulatory audits is a strong asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French is required - English and German are strong assets, any additional language is considered as a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to: communicate well; establish strong working relationships; maintain a positive outlook; work under pressure
