PwC is seeking a Data Management Specialist (Senior Associate or Manager) in its Cloud, Data & AI team. You will lead initiatives to transform data into trusted, scalable assets and drive AI-readiness across client programmes in a senior, client-facing role.

You will collaborate with PwC teams and client stakeholders to design data products, establish governance, and deliver on modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks.

As a Data Management Specialist (Senior Associate or Manager) in PwC's Cloud, Data & AI team, you will take a leading role in helping clients transform data into trusted, scalable, and business-critical assets.

You will implement and drive complex data management, governance, platform, and AI-readiness initiatives from strategy through execution, helping organisations build the foundations for better decisions, smarter operations, and sustainable digital growth.

You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, multidisciplinary PwC teams, and technology specialists, working at the heart of ambitious, high-impact transformation programmes across industries to create value through modern data and AI capabilities and shape the future of data-driven business.

Your Impact

• Lead impactful initiatives across data quality, ownership, metadata, lineage, and lifecycle management to ensure data is reliable, transparent, and ready to power advanced analytics, automation, and AI use cases.
• Shape and improve enterprise data platforms from an architectural, operational, and user adoption perspective, with a strong focus on data observability, data quality, and platform readiness for AI.
• Support the end-to-end creation of data products by translating business requirements into data definitions, models, transformation logic, quality rules, and usable outputs on modern cloud data platforms.
• Build effective governance processes, forums, and decision-making mechanisms that create clarity, accountability, and lasting adoption across the organisation.
• Create high-value client deliverables including target operating models, data platform blueprints, governance playbooks, policies, and implementation roadmaps that accelerate the journey toward modern data platforms and AI-enabled business models.
• Drive business development and market growth by shaping propositions, developing proposals, contributing to RfP responses, supporting commercial discussions, and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.
• Contribute to market growth and business development by supporting proposals, RfP responses, solution design, pricing, and commercial discussions for data, analytics, platform, and AI-related opportunities.
• Coach and develop team members by providing guidance, feedback, and day-to-day leadership that strengthens delivery quality and builds the next generation of data and AI consultants.
• Stay ahead of the market by continuously expanding your expertise in emerging technologies, modern data platforms, AI, and industry trends to help clients unlock new sources of value.

Your Skill Set

• A degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant executive education are an advantage.
• Significant consulting experience in an international, client-facing environment, with a strong track record of managing workstreams or projects within data, technology, analytics, or digital transformation programmes.
• Commercial mindset and proposal experience including contribution to sales opportunities, solution design, pricing, and client relationship development.
• Experience leading workshops and engaging senior stakeholders across business and technology functions, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and build alignment around pragmatic solutions.
• Strong expertise in , and understanding of, core data management and governance concepts such as data quality, metadata, master data, ownership, and their role in enabling data-driven transformation.
• Hands-on experience in data governance or data management initiatives, data catalogues or metadata solutions , data migration , or data transformation projects in an international environment.
• Practical experience with enterprise data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric , Snowflake , or Databricks , combined with a solid understanding of supporting architecture and data platform engineering concepts.
• Interest in, and conceptual understanding of, business process analytics , ideally with hands-on experience in technologies such as Celonis or Signavio.
• Recognised technical data and AI certifications such as DAMA CDMP, Microsoft DP-900, AZ-900, AI-900, DP-600, DP-700, Snowflake SnowPro Core, Databricks Data Analyst / Data Engineer, or similar are a plus.
• Experience working in cross-functional and international teams, both in person and remotely.
• Excellent written, spoken, and visual communication skills in English and German; additional languages are an advantage.
