THEMA Consulting | MasterFinance for Treasury & Risk in Lugano seeks a Senior Angular Front-End Developer to design, develop and maintain core front-end components for a cross-asset financial workflow platform.

You will collaborate with back-end engineers, consultants and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust interfaces, contribute to architecture, testing and performance optimization in an international, collaborative environment.

The role

As a Senior Angular Front-End Developer, you will design, develop and maintain core front-end components and frameworks, building robust, high-performance and maintainable web applications for complex financial workflows.

Working closely with Back-End developers, functional consultants and business stakeholders, you will translate demanding business requirements into reliable and intuitive user interfaces. You will contribute to architectural decisions, code quality, automated testing and performance optimization, helping evolve a shared product used across multiple client environments.

This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on technical development with a deep understanding of financial business processes in an international, collaborative environment.

Profile requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience developing production-grade Angular applications, with demonstrated senior-level technical ownership
• Strong knowledge of Angular architecture, including components, dependency injection, routing, reusable UI components and modern Angular development practices
• Solid experience with TypeScript, RxJS, Observables and reactive programming, with familiarity with Angular Signals and modern state management approaches
• Strong understanding of front-end architecture, design patterns, separation of concerns and best practices for building scalable, maintainable and testable applications
• Proficiency in HTML, modern CSS, responsive design and accessibility best practices, with a focus on building intuitive and user-friendly interfaces
• Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows, error scenarios and complex application state
• Experience with automated testing, including unit, component and integration tests, and a strong commitment to software quality and testability
• Ability to develop high-performance user interfaces for data-intensive web applications
• Proficiency with Git, npm and modern development workflows, including code reviews, automated builds and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience developing and maintaining product-based software solutions, including customer-specific configurations, reusable features, patches and product customizations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Back-End developers, QA engineers, functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills, a pragmatic approach to software development, and the ability to mentor other developers and balance software quality with delivery timelines and business priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an international, multicultural team
• Fluent in Italian and English

Nice to have

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience with front-end performance profiling tools, memory profiling, and the optimization of complex UI
• Knowledge of Java and enterprise application architectures
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum
• Experience in banking, Treasury, Capital Markets or Risk Management applications
