Batgroup, based in Switzerland, seeks a dedicated Accountant to join its Finance team. You will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and support broader financial operations as the company grows.

You will handle the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close, while aiding Swiss VAT compliance and reporting. Strong analytical skills and autonomy are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Brevet Fédéral de spécialiste en finance et comptabilité (in progress or completed), or CFC d'employé(e) de commerce with a strong accounting focus.
• 5 to 10 years of proven experience as an Accountant in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles (Swiss OR).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems or accounting software (BI a plus).
• Fluency in French and English is required (both written and spoken). German is a strong asset.

Aufgaben

• General Ledger Management: Maintain up-to-date general ledger entries, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee processing of supplier invoices, expense reports, and customer billing. Ensure timely payments.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist the Finance Manager with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and standard journal entries.
• Taxes & Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of Swiss VAT returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and Swiss accounting standards (Code des obligations).
• Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Process Optimization: Continuously look for ways to improve, automate, and streamline accounting processes and internal controls.

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven experience as an Accountant, ideally within a fast-paced corporate, startup, or scale-up environment.
• Technical Skills: * Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles (Swiss OR).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems or accounting software (BI a plus)
• Languages: Fluency in French and English is required (both written and spoken). German is considered a strong asset.
