Hitachi Energy AG in Switzerland (Lenzburg) is hiring a Semiconductor Shift Maintenance Engineer/Technician for diffusion equipment with 80–100% workload. You will perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime, and support tool upgrades and process improvements.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience of semiconductor production tools, knowledge of electronics, mechanics and pneumatics, and the ability to work in shifts.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience in maintenance of semiconductor production tools.
• Solid understanding of electronics, mechanics and pneumatics.
• Experience with diffusion systems (e.g. ASM, centrotherm ovens).
• Familiarity with metrology tools for process control (e.g., Surfscan, Semilab WT‑2000).
• Additional training or expertise in vacuum systems or related technologies.
• Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Automation Technician, Electronics Technician, or similar field).
• Willingness to work in shifts is a must.
• Strong team player with problem-solving mentality, organizational skills, and proficiency in English (German is a plus).

• Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance, applying 6S safety and efficiency practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance, process and production teams to meet performance goals and optimize line efficiency.
• Participate in tool upgrades and modernization projects to enhance tool capability and reliability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Support root-cause analysis and problem resolution for technical issues within the team.
• Train and mentor colleagues in diffusion, safety, and best maintenance practices.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.

Your focus is on the corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance of diffusion equipment, working cross-functionally to drive safety, productivity, and general tool and workflow optimizations across the production line.
