Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a security-driven engineer to ensure best practices across the software development lifecycle.

You will build and deploy tools to detect vulnerabilities, triage diverse findings, and continuously improve security processes with a strong focus on impact and metrics. You will partner with development and release teams, articulate risk, and advocate for security best practices across Cisco’s software projects to protect customers and data in today’s complex threat

Qualifikationen

• Technical background in information security or a related field, with significant knowledge of Linux security concepts.
• Experience automating security processes using Go, Python, Bash, or IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Demonstrable experience of leading security projects from design to delivery.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Aufgaben

• Build or deploy tools to detect vulnerabilities in Isovalent software and tune them for valuable signals.
• Triage findings from SAST/DAST scanners, cloud security scanners, external reports, and pentests.
• Improve security processes with a focus on high-impact issues and measurable results.
• Partner with development, release, and security teams to address vulnerabilities promptly and document security posture.
• Advocate for security best practices across interactions with colleagues.
