Job summary

ANYbotics is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join the Industrialization team in Zurich. You will write Python code to interface with hardware, define pass/fail criteria for ANYmal subsystems, and deploy test routines to our manufacturing shopfloor, bridging software and hardware in a production environment.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and test technicians, gain hands-on experience, and learn best practices for reliable automated testing.

Qualifications

• Current or recently completed degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, CS, Electrical or Mechanical Eng.
• Solid Python with hardware interaction projects.
• Hands-on hardware interfaces experience from labs or projects.
• Structured problem solving and measurement fundamentals (tolerances, repeatability).
• Clear written and verbal communication; capable of drafting procedures.
• Proactive, quick learner; comfortable in a hands-on production environment.
• Based in Zurich or willing to relocate with regular on-site presence near hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy Python-based automated test procedures for ANYmal hardware subsystems.
• Instrument and control hardware devices, sensors, and cameras through software interfaces.
• Collaborate with test technicians and manufacturing engineers to refine shopfloor workflows.
• Write clean, resilient, and reproducible code using software engineering best practices.
• Contribute to test documentation and technician procedures for seamless shopfloor execution.
