Job summary

Embodied AI SA is building hands-on Embodied AI systems deployed on real robots in Lausanne. You will own a concrete slice end to end, iterating until it works in front of real users, with a strong emphasis on delivering customer-focused features.

The role invites eagerness and experience in robotics, software, and hardware disciplines, and values showing your own work and meeting deadlines in a fast-growing team.

Job description

You'll work on our Embodied AI systems, getting your hands dirty on real robots. The work spans across the entire Embodied AI stack and includes learning, prototyping, integration, working with hardware and software. You'd own a concrete slice end to end and iterate until it works in front of a real user. We value a 'customer feature request' mindset over perfecting a sub-system in isolation: define what the project needs, and pursue it.

What you bring is eagerness, and expertise or experience in any discipline that might be useful. A few signals we like:

• You've built something that other people actually used.

• Experienced to deliver a robot until a deadline (competitions, hackathons etc)

• You've shown and demoed your own work in front of others.

• Software: Linux, Docker, ROS2, Python, Git, React/TypeScript.

• Compute: Cloud (gcloud, AWS, Azure), Edge (RPi, Jetson), Microcontrollers (Arduino).

• Learning: IL/RL, PyTorch, Isaac ROS/Lab/Newton, W&B, HF's LeRobot.

• Hardware: Robotic arms, smart actuators, cameras, sensors, custom in-house robotic system.

None of these are required, and the list isn't exhaustive. Excellence in one area plus eagerness is exactly what we're after.
