Zusammenfassung

Flexion is building the intelligence layer powering humanoid robots and seeks a Robotics Engineer to push the stack on physical systems while helping AI engineers close the loop between models and machines.

You will ensure the Flexion software stack works across various robot architectures, developing commissioning pipelines from system identification to calibration and testing. This role offers hands-on work in a frontier robotics environment with real-world impact.

Qualifikationen

  • MSc or PhD in Robotics, CS, EE, ME or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with subsystems (sensing, state estimation, actuation, modeling, control) on multiple robotic systems.
  • Excellent programming skills in C++ and comfortable with Linux environments.

Aufgaben

  • Robot commissioning (interface design, calibration, system identification) and development of tooling to reduce commissioning time.
  • Deployment code improvement and maintenance.
  • Debug complex system-level issues on internal development robots as well as client robots.

About Flexion:

At Flexion, we're building the intelligence layer powering the next generation of humanoid robots. Our mission is to accelerate the transition from fragile prototypes to real-world deployment of humanoids. We are founded by leading scientists in robot reinforcement learning (ex-Nvidia, ex-ETH Zürich) and backed by leading international VC firms. The role

We're looking for a curious, experienced Robotics Engineer who wants to push ... You'll work directly with our diverse robot fleet, putting the full Flexion stack through its paces on physical systems and helping our AI engineers close the loop between models and machines.

In this role, you'll ensure that the Flexion software stack works on a wide range of robot architectures. You will cut down the required onboarding time of new robots by developing and improving our commissioning pipeline ranging from system identification and modeling, over sensor calibration to the software interface design and testing.

If you are excited by the diversity of a robotic system, motivated to chase bugs across different subsystems until you find the root cause, and want to shape the way we onboard new robots in our fleet, we would love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities
  • Robot commissioning (interface design, calibration, system identification) along with the development of the required tooling to cut down commissioning time
  • Deployment code improvement and maintenance
  • Debug complex system-level issues on internal development robots as well as client robots
  • MSc or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple subsystems (e.g. sensing, state estimation, actuation, modeling, control, networking) on multiple different robotic systems
  • Excellent programming skills in C++
  • Comfortable working in Linux/Ubuntu environments
  • Autonomous working style - you take ownership of a problem and drive it to a conclusion
  • Fast-learning mentality: new problems excite you rather than intimidate you
  • Professional working proficiency in English
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of system identification and modeling pipelines
  • Knowledge of simulation environments for robotics (e.g. Isaac)
  • Experience in learning-based control
  • Good programming skills in python
