Laelaps AI in Zürich, Switzerland seeks a Software Engineer Intern focused on Robot Autonomy and Actuator Control. You will train locomotion and low-level control policies for legged security robots, moving from simulation to real hardware across varied terrains and weather.

Work includes designing training setups, running simulations, and measuring policy robustness with domain randomization and solid engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience training RL policies for robot control, in simulation or on hardware.
• Familiar with robotics simulators and real-world transfer techniques.
• Strong coding skills in Python and ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate RL policies for locomotion and low-level control in simulation.
• Apply sim-to-real methods and design robust policies for varied terrain.
• Build repeatable experiments and evaluation workflows in simulation and on hardware.
