We are currently looking for an experienced Risk & Performance Specialist to join an established analytics function supporting Asset Management. This is a role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of investment risk, performance analysis, data and portfolio management. You will have exposure to a broad range of investment strategies and will play an important role in turning complex portfolio data into meaningful insight for investment and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out both forward‑looking and historical risk analysis across equity, fixed income, multi‑asset and alternative investment strategies
• Assess portfolio exposures including VaR, tracking error, factor risk, concentration and liquidity
• Prepare performance attribution and contribution analysis, translating results into clear investment insights
• Work closely with Portfolio Management, Investment Compliance and Operations to maintain robust data quality and ensure reporting is delivered accurately and on time
• Support the continued enhancement of risk and performance analytics, including methodologies, tools and underlying infrastructure
• Present findings and analysis to relevant internal stakeholders, including investment professionals and senior management
• Contribute ideas and practical solutions to improve the way investment risk and performance are measured and communicated

Your Profile:

• A university or equivalent higher education qualification in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline
• 5+ years' relevant experience in investment risk, performance analysis, investment analytics or a related field
• Strong understanding of portfolio risk and performance measurement, ideally across multiple asset classes
• A hands‑on, “get things done” mindset, with the initiative and flexibility to roll up their sleeves, take ownership and find practical solutions
• Experience with Bloomberg PORT Enterprise or a comparable platform, alongside Bloomberg and other relevant investment analytics tools
• Working knowledge of Python and SQL a must
• Professional qualifications such as FRM, CFA, CAIA or CIPM would be advantageous
• A pragmatic, analytical and detail‑oriented approach, with strong communication skills and a focus on data accuracy
• Fluent English; German would be a plus but not a must
• Swiss work permit eligibility required; cross‑border candidates are welcome. The role is fully office‑based, with a commitment to living in or near Basel expected
