Job summary

Symlab AG in Switzerland is seeking a Test Engineer RF to join the team. You will focus on testing and verification of complex RF systems and act as a key interface between engineering, quality, and external test laboratories.

The role covers RF measurements, equipment operation (VNA, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope), qualification testing with MIL/AECTP, test concept development and automation (Python), and close collaboration with R&D, production, and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in RF testing and measurement environments.
• Hands-on with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer).
• Strong analytical and structured working approach.
• German language proficiency; English skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF measurements and verification on system level and subassemblies
• Operate RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzer, VNA, signal generator, oscilloscope)
• Specify, plan and support qualification and environmental tests with external labs
• Analyze measurement results and derive corrective and improvement actions
• Perform structured fault isolation and root cause analysis on module and system level
• Define and develop test concepts, procedures, and acceptance criteria
• Support test automation and data evaluation (e.g. Python, Excel)
• Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and external partners
