ETH Zurich is seeking a skilled legal professional to partner with researchers across departments to negotiate and structure complex research agreements. The role focuses on IP, licensing, risk management and collaboration with industry partners.

You will work at the interface of cutting-edge science and global industry, translating technical and commercial needs into robust contracts while safeguarding academic freedom and ETH's interests.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Law; Swiss and international law knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and IP management in tech
• Strong understanding of licensing, publication rights, and risk allocation

Responsabilidades

• Draft and negotiate high-stakes research agreements, multi-party consortia, MTAs, and NDAs with global partners.
• Advise on IP allocations, foreground/background rights, and software licensing.
• Represent ETH Zurich in negotiations with industry, universities, and consortia.
• Collaborate with patenting centers, in-house counsel, and compliance teams on standard templates and playbooks.
• Conduct workshops for researchers on contract and IP best practices.
