Job summary

International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva invites applications for a Technical Remote Participation Moderator roster. Selected candidates will join a roster for remote moderation on a daily-basis contract at the Geneva duty station.

Before events: brief with the organizer, prepare the virtual room, set up equipment, and coordinate with Chairs about remote participation. During events: open the room, start audio/recording, welcome participants, troubleshoot, and liaise with ITU teams.

Qualifications

• Complete secondary education with a diploma or equivalent; university degree is an advantage and may replace 2 years of experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced English; knowledge of another ITU official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an advantage.
• Good communication and diplomatic skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe, Mac OS and Windows.
• Experience with Zoom, Teams and web-conferencing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Before events: brief with the organizer; prepare the virtual room; set up equipment; liaise with Chairs about remote participation.
• During events: open virtual room; start audio/recording; welcome remote participants; ensure documents display; relay interventions to the Chair; test audio quality.
• Deliverables: ensure smooth remote participation, debrief with the e-Meeting Coordinator and return hardware after the event.
