PROSTAFF Schweiz GmbH is seeking an experienced Solution Architect for an international retail transformation project in Geneva. You will define scalable architectures and work with business stakeholders, enterprise architects and delivery teams to support implementations across global markets.

The role requires hands-on experience in omnichannel retail solutions, cloud platforms, APIs and microservices, and leadership across international teams.

Qualifikationen

For an international retail transformation project, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in digital omnichannel retail solutions. You will define scalable architectures and work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects and technical teams to support their implementation across global markets.

• Lead the architectural design of digital omnichannel retail solutions.
• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams for retail solution architecture.
• Provide architectural leadership in global transformation programmes and large-scale deployments.
• Define target architectures, high-level solution designs, system integration flows and technical roadmaps.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, resilience, security and maintainability, including during peak retail periods.
• Establish architectural governance, guiding principles and reusable patterns aligned with enterprise standards.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy options and contribute to vendor and product assessments.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure architectural consistency, data integrity and alignment across the retail landscape.
• Review technical specifications and validate solutions proposed by delivery teams.
• Support cut-over planning, migration strategies and infrastructure setup where required.
• Ensure architectural decisions are reflected in operational procedures and support tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps, delivery and support practices.

• At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture, with a proven track record in large-scale digital transformation and retail systems.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering omnichannel retail solutions.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel retail business processes.
• Proven ability to design scalable, performant and resilient systems handling high transaction volumes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architecture, APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jira and Confluence.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, Gitflow, Trunk-Based Development and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in system modelling and architectural documentation.
• Experience with security, identity management, Single Sign-On and compliance considerations for global rollouts.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership, sound judgement and the ability to influence decisions pragmatically.
• An autonomous, accountable approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities across international teams and time zones.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English; French, Italian or Chinese would be an advantage.
• TOGAF or an equivalent certification is a plus.
