Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks a Senior Performance Engineer to advance performance analysis, benchmarking, and telemetry for large-scale GPU- and CPU-based clusters in AI/HPC settings.

You will profile AI/HPC workloads, study networking and compute bottlenecks, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, networking, systems, and software teams to deliver actionable insights. A strong background in performance metrics and telemetry is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in performance analysis, systems engineering, or HPC/AI infrastructure.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance analysis skills and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with high-performance networking (RDMA, MPI, NCCL, congestion control).
• Strong understanding of system performance metrics (latency, throughput, resource utilization).
• Exposure to telemetry environments in hardware, firmware, or embedded contexts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Profile, benchmark, and analyze AI and HPC workloads on GPU and CPU clusters.
• Explore performance characteristics of high-performance networking and communications (NCCL, RDMA, MPI, RoCE).
• Identify bottlenecks across networking, compute, memory, and system architecture.
• Develop and enhance performance analysis, benchmarking, and diagnostic tools.
• Define performance test plans and set expectations for new technologies and platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, networking, systems, and software teams for insights.
• Support telemetry collection and refine data for accurate analysis.
• Maintain high data quality, reproducibility, and traceability of results.
