Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to manage, secure, and optimize network infrastructure in a fully remote Swiss-based role.

You will handle firewall operations, IPSec VPNs, and network design across internal and customer environments, using pfSense and OPNsense. Collaboration with SOC and NOC teams is essential, with a focus on automation and documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with pfSense and OPNsense firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of IPSec VPN implementation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with BGP or other dynamic routing protocols.
• Solid understanding of IPv4/IPv6 networking and switching concepts.
• Ability to design, document, and implement secure network environments.
• Experience with network automation using Ansible, Python, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day network and firewall operations and support improvements.
• Configure, maintain, and document IPSec VPNs and firewall rules with pfSense/OPNsense.
• Design network environments for projects and document deployment plans.
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and VPN connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with SOC to analyze firewall logs and incidents.
• Train teammates and participate in rotating NOC/SOC duty schedules.
