TELUS Digital is seeking an AI Safety & Policy Associate to help guard our training datasets. As an independent contractor, you’ll apply safety rules to thousands of scenarios, shaping how the model learns what is right and what is a gray area.

You’ll annotate, classify harms, fact-check, and apply guidelines, working remotely within a global community of experts to prevent harmful behavior before it reaches users.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required in any field (preferred: humanities, social sciences, communications, or law).
• Native-level proficiency in your primary language is mandatory.
• English proficiency at least B1 (Intermediate).
• Strong detail orientation and ability to spot small errors during repetitive analysis.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate AI-generated responses against safety rubrics and flag content with bias, misinformation, or prohibited topics.
• Categorize harms (hate speech, self-harm, illegal acts) to define boundary lines for model behavior.
• Verify factual accuracy of model claims using reliable external sources to prevent hallucinations.
• Apply complex policy documents to edge cases to ensure consistent model alignment.
• Report recurring model weaknesses to Governance Leads to refine safety policies.
