Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Mid/Senior AI LLM Engineer in Switzerland to develop, fine-tune, and optimize self-hosted models for consumer-facing AI products. You will work across data preparation, training, evaluation, and production deployment, collaborating with AI engineers, product, and DevOps teams in a remote-first environment.

You will drive multilingual capabilities, memory and personality consistency, and scalable evaluation frameworks while exploring LoRA/QLoRA and other alignment methods.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience fine-tuning open-weight LLMs and deploying models in production.
• Strong Python programming skills for ML workflows.
• Experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with SFT, LoRA, and QLoRA techniques.
• Familiarity with DPO or GRPO alignment methods.
• GPU-based training, performance optimization, and debugging.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and optimize open-weight LLMs to improve quality and personalization.
• Prepare and curate training datasets to improve relevance and safety.
• Design evaluation benchmarks and testing methodologies.
• Improve memory, personality consistency, and context handling.
• Develop multilingual capabilities for conversations.
• Investigate failures and refine data, prompts, and configurations.
• Run GPU-based training and optimize training pipelines.
• Apply alignment techniques and deploy improvements to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate changes.
• Balance model behavior with content policies in sensitive use cases.
