Job summary

Speechify seeks a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its AI team and build the data pipelines that power model training and next-generation AI products.

We develop datasets at scale and require a strong software engineer who enjoys solving hard problems, exploring new data sources, and building scalable systems for AI training. This is a distributed, remote role with competitive compensation and stock options.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable data pipelines for training datasets.
• Develop and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Own engineering projects from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
