Job summary

Emil Frey Racing is seeking a race mechanic to join the team in Safenwil, with travel to European Championships. You will be part of the car crew, ensuring race cars are prepared to spec and perform reliably both in the workshop and on track.

The ideal candidate has years of experience with Formula/GT3 cars, strong technical skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. English proficiency and physical fitness are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a mechanic or car chief with Formula or GT3 cars.
• Ability to work under pressure with reliability and adaptability.
• Proactive problem solving in high-stress environments.
• Dynamic, loyal, collaborative team player.
• Good level of English (written and spoken).
• Good physical condition and athletic ambition.

Responsibilities

• Work in car crew at racetrack and workshop, ensuring high performance.
• Assist in setup and preparation of race cars for events/tests per chief mechanic/specs.
• Ensure flawless vehicle operation during races and tests; address issues proactively.
• Maintain and test all vehicle components and racing equipment for reliability and safety.
• Contribute as a key pit crew member in assigned function to support race success.

Your profile

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

• Several years of experience as a mechanic or car chief with Formula or GT3 cars.
• Strong technical background with proven reliability, resilience, and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to take responsibility, work independently, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• You are dynamic, highly motivated, loyal, and thrive in a collaborative team setting
• Familiarity with Windows Office applications.
• Good level in English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Good physical condition and athletic ambition.

The Position

These are your key tasks:

• Working in a car crew at the racetrack and in the workshop, ensuring seamless collaboration and high performance.
• Being part of the car crew ensuring setup and preparation of race cars for events and tests, following the specifications provided by the chief mechanic and race engineer.
• Ensure flawless vehicle operation during races and tests, proactively addressing any technical issues.
• Maintenance and testing of all vehicle components including racing equipment, ensuring reliability and safety.
• Participating as key member of the pit crew in an assigned function, contributing to success.
