Hexagon Robotics, a division of Hexagon, seeks a Quality Manager to build an ISO 9001-compliant QMS from the ground up. This hands-on role drives quality across Product, QA and Production and prepares for external certification and customer audits.

You will own the QMS, define processes, run reviews, and embed a culture of prevention while collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on quality manager with several years' experience.
• Experience setting up or scaling a QMS.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 with practical application.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits.

Hexagon Robotics is a division of Hexagon – a global leader in precision measurement. Established in 2025, Hexagon Robotics develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and enable the transition from automation to autonomy. The first humanoid product, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and combines agility, awareness, spatial intelligence and versatility to provide a market-leading solution for automotive, transportation, aerospace, manufacturing, and logistics customers.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to build and deliver our ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) from the ground up. This is a hands-on, operational role: you will do the work yourself and make sure everyone across the organisation does what the QMS requires of them. You will work closely with our Product Certification Manager, learn the product certification and compliance function from them, and take ownership of Product Certification & Compliance from mid-2027.

Your Mission

• Build, implement, and maintain an ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System across Hexagon Robotics
• Own the QMS operationally and hands-on – write the processes, run the reviews, and drive the day-to-day quality work yourself rather than delegating it away
• Make sure every function delivers what the QMS requires: define what is needed, follow up, and hold the organisation accountable
• Establish clear processes, standard operating procedures, and quality standards, and embed a culture where errors are systematically prevented rather than corrected after the fact
• Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal audits; prepare the organisation for external certification and customer audits and drive nonconformities to sustainable closure
• Work closely with Product, QA and Production team to set up quality planning, testing, approval, and validation across the product life cycle; lead root-cause analysis and manage CAPA using methods such as 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, FMEA, and SPC
• Work closely with Procurement team to build supplier quality management: qualify suppliers, define and monitor quality requirements, and manage supplier complaints and improvement actions
• Work closely with our Product Certification
• Manager to learn the product certification and compliance function, and take ownership of Product Certification & Compliance from mid-2027

Your Skillset

• A degree in a technical or scientific field – e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of hands-on experience in quality management, ideally including setting up or scaling a QMS
• Very good working knowledge of ISO 9001, applied in practice and not just in theory
• Experience planning, conducting, and following up on internal and external audits
• Solid command of modern quality methods and problem-solving techniques (8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, FMEA, SPC, CAPA)
• A genuinely hands-on operator: someone who does the work and also gets others to deliver, comfortable owning a topic end to end in a fast-moving environment
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory and product-specific requirements; exposure to product compliance, CE conformity, or regulatory affairs is a strong plus given the mid-2027 handover
• Fluent English; German is an advantage
• Nice to have: certification as a quality manager, auditor, or lead auditor; experience in a technology-driven, international manufacturing or development company; experience with digital QMS/ERP systems
