Job summary

Veolia Industry Building - Switzerland AG is seeking a VIE/PANGEO in Basel for QHSE/HSE compliance to harmonize practices across the group. You will start with legal register maintenance and progress toward broader responsibilities, including incident management and KPI reporting.

The 18-month program begins January 1, 2027, with accommodation provided and partial housing cost coverage in Basel, Switzerland. This role offers international exposure within a global leader in environmental services.

Qualifications

• University or engineering degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Engineering/Industrial Engineering, Safety/HSE, or similar.
• Initial practical experience in QHSE/regulatory compliance or industrial operations is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Interest in digital tools and data management (Smartsheet or similar).
• Attention to detail, reliability, proactivity and good communication.
• German (B2) and English (C1); French skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the legal register (Red-On-Line) and identify new regulatory requirements.
• Support assessment and implementation of QHSE requirements.
• Participate in incident management: documentation, data analysis, corrective action follow-up.
• Manage environmental compliance and reporting data (thermal and river parameters).
• Prepare and maintain QHSE documentation (procedures, instructions, checklists).
• Develop QHSE data management tools and Smartsheet dashboards.
• Collect, analyze and report QHSE KPIs (monthly, quarterly, customer reports).
• Participate in internal audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct research on HSE, environmental and regulatory topics.
