Farmak International is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Baar (Zug). The role focuses on purchasing operations, supplier coordination, purchase order management, documentation control, and close collaboration with logistics and inventory functions to ensure timely and compliant delivery of materials for pharmaceutical production.

Your Mission

Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, monitor shipments, manage required documentation, and resolve operational issues related to purchasing and transport, in order to support efficient and reliable procurement operations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the supply chain from order placement through receipt of goods at the warehouse, including all steps related to agreements on terms, quality, quantities, and other conditions.
• Create and communicate of purchase orders for materials used in pharmaceutical production.
• Issue and verify shipping documents and any other documentation required for cargo.
• Order transportation to ensure timely delivery.
• Work with the inventory management team to ensure all deliveries satisfy assigned purchase orders and reporting any back‑ordered or missing products.
• Ensure accurate shipping dates for purchase orders by monitoring the sourcing calendar.
• Build relationships with vendors to ensure immediate access to product and order information.
• Ensure compliance with and control of payment conditions agreed with suppliers.
• Assist with purchasing activities related to cost, quality, and service, and providing guidance on cost‑planning strategies.
• Take ownership of all vendor communication related to purchasing and purchase order management, ensuring purchase order information is accurate and vendor questions are resolved efficiently.
• Control warehouse stock levels to avoid any possible excess of materials.
• Participate in the preparation of internal and external reports.

Qualifications

Required

• University degree in Management, Economics or equivalent training.
• At least 3 years of related experience and background in a Purchasing position in a multi-task environment, preferably within a high-technology environment.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency level in Office 365 package
