NAXCON GmbH is seeking a Network Engineer (Cisco CCNP) for the Zurich area. The role involves setting up and operating data center and access networks, contributing to security product projects, and collaborating on exciting networking initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold CCNP certifications, multiple years of networking experience, and fluency in German and English. The contract runs 1 Dec 2026 to 31 May 2027, with on-site in Zurich 3 days/week and 2 days/week remote.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate data center and access network infrastructures (SDN/SDA/Catalyst/Nexus/WiFi).
• Contribute to Cisco security product projects (WSA, ISE).
• Design, deploy, and configure network and security solutions on projects.
• Serve as SME for specific products and share knowledge with the team.
• Document installation, operation, migration, and backups.

Project – Network Engineer (Cisco CCNP)

Workload: 100%

Start: December 1, 2026

End: May 31, 2027, with an option to extend

Location: Zurich, 3 days per week on-site, 2 days per week remote

Customer Segment: IT/Telco

Applications from outside Switzerland: The candidate must hold a passport from an EU or Schengen country; dual citizenship is also acceptable. (Candidates with citizenship from outside the Schengen Area who hold a work permit for Germany, Austria, etc., are not eligible.)

Tasks:

• Network Infrastructure: You are responsible for setting up and operating data center and access network infrastructures (SDN/SDA/Catalyst/Nexus/WiFi)
• Security Products: You actively contribute to Cisco security products such as WSA and ISE
• Projects: You will collaborate on exciting projects, designing, deploying, and configuring network and security solutions
• Technical Expertise: You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for specific products and share your knowledge with the team
• Automation: You will automate and standardize configurations to enhance efficiency and securityDocumentation: You will create and maintain documentation on installation, operation, migration, and backup
• Support & On-Call Duty: You will provide support during operational hours and on-call duty to ensure smooth operations
  

Requirements:

• Completed IT training (Computer Scientist EFZ)
• Several years of professional experience in a networking environment
• Certifications in Cisco products at the CCNP level are required
• Experience with ACI/SDN/SDA is a plus
• Knowledge of network security
• Analytical and interdisciplinary thinking skills
• Fluency in German and English
• Communicative, team-oriented, and conflict-resolution skills
