Amberg Engineering seeks a technically competent, customer-focused professional to lead ventilation and safety projects for underground infrastructure and complex structures. You will manage interdisciplinary teams across electromechanical engineering, ventilation and safety, from concept to commissioning, ensuring high safety and quality standards.

You will work at multiple sites in Regensdorf, Chur, Sargans, Nyon, Köln, Innsbruck, Chambery, Brussels or Paris, with flexible time arrangements

Qualifications

• MSc, Dipl.-Ing., or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from ETH, TU, or FH.
• Several years of project management experience in underground infrastructure, ventilation, electromechanical systems or related field.
• Experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and quality with commercial responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of ventilation engineering, aerodynamics, and thermodynamics.

• Managing and delivering technically challenging projects in an interdisciplinary environment involving electromechanical engineering, ventilation and infrastructure safety.
• Planning, sizing and implementing systems with high standards of safety, availability and operational continuity.
• Main point of contact for clients, taking charge of technical management and developing bespoke solutions with specialists.
• Technical and commercial management of projects: scope, resources, deadlines, costs and quality across all phases.
• Technical review of engineering work, including fluid dynamics calculations, simulations and system designs.
• Ensuring safety requirements and risk analyses are incorporated into project decisions.
• Opportunity to take on team leadership responsibilities depending on experience.

Your responsibilities

• Managing and delivering technically challenging projects in an interdisciplinary environment involving electromechanical engineering, ventilation and infrastructure safety
• Planning, sizing and implementing systems with high standards of safety, availability and operational continuity
• As the main point of contact for our clients, you will take charge of the technical management of challenging projects and, together with specialists, develop bespoke solutions for complex technical issues
• Responsibility for the technical and commercial management of projects regarding scope of work, resources, deadlines, costs and quality, as well as ensuring successful implementation across all project phases
• Technical review of engineering work, including fluid dynamics calculations, simulations and system designs
• Ensuring that safety requirements and risk analyses are incorporated into project decisions (drawing on the team’s existing expertise)
• Depending on your experience and profile, there is the opportunity to take on team leadership responsibilities

Your ideal profile

• A completed degree (MSc, Dipl.-Ing., or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering from ETH, a technical university (TU) or a university of applied sciences (FH)
• Several years of relevant project management experience in underground infrastructure, ventilation, electromechanical systems or a closely related engineering field
• Experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and quality, with a sound understanding of commercial responsibilities.
• A strong understanding of ventilation engineering, aerodynamics and thermodynamics, and the ability to assess technical solutions and coordinate specialist input.
• Very good command of German and English (written and spoken); knowledge of French would be an advantage
