Job summary

Swiss Cancer Institute in Bern invites a Project Manager Registries & Real-World Evidence to lead registry SOP development, data management coordination, and ethics submissions. You will oversee the RWE Steering Committee, work on budgeting with partners, and ensure data quality across centers.

Ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in clinical research/RWE, strong English, and knowledge of EDC systems; French/Italian is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, public health or epidemiology.
  • 3 to 5 years or more of project management experience in clinical research, RWE, registries or health data.
  • Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment (HRA, HOR, Cancer Registration Act, data protection) and of GCP.
  • Familiarity with EDC systems (SecuTrial, REDCap) and data standards; interest in real-world evidence and AI is a plus.
  • Structured, hands-on and solution-oriented, with the ability to drive change across many stakeholders and sites.
  • Strong communication and moderation skills, comfortable with clinicians, industry and authorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and good proficiency in French or Italian is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the registries’ SOPs, work instructions and templates (start-up, consent, data management, data access, reporting).
  • Contribute to the development of general consent (PISIC) and ethics submissions (BASEC) with Regulatory Affairs.
  • Coordinate the RWE Steering Committee: prepare meetings, evaluate projects, write minutes and ensure follow-up.
  • Support budgeting tools and funding agreements with pharma companies and foundations.
  • Work with Data Management on datasets, data dictionary and mapping of registries.
  • Organize training of data managers and monitor data quality and completeness.
  • Serve as central contact person for investigators, centers and sponsors on registry matters.
  • Liaise with national partners (NICER, SPHN, cantonal registries) and AI-enabled data import project.

The is the national network for clinical cancer research in Switzerland. Since 1965, we have been committed to improving cancer treatment for the Swiss population as a non-profit organization. Guided by our vision “Clinical research for a cure tomorrow,” we conduct oncology clinical trials and serve as a key partner for authorities, professional associations, and the pharmaceutical industry. Approximately 70 employees at our Competence Center in Bern work closely with all leading oncology clinics across the country.

Project Manager Registries & Real-World Evidence (80-100%)
Your tasks:
  • Lead the development of the Swiss Cancer Institute registries’ SOPs, Work Instructions and templates (registry start-up, consent, data management, data access, reporting).
  • Contribute to the development of general consent (PISIC) and contribute to ethics submissions (BASEC) in collaboration with the Regulatory Affairs Unit.

Who you are:
