Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Project Control Engineer to lead control engineering tasks for high‑power converters. You will coordinate interfaces with customers, sub-suppliers, and internal teams while defining hardware interfaces and conducting design reviews.

The role involves developing control software, testing on real‑time platforms, commissioning on-site, and providing technical support throughout project execution. Travel up to 20% will be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB / Simulink is essential.
• Strong knowledge of process control and software design concepts.
• Familiarity with OPC, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3 is a plus.
• Willingness to travel globally for commissioning (approx. 20%).

Your background

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s, from a university or university of applied sciences)

• Hands-on experience with MATLAB / Simulink is essential

• Strong knowledge of process control and software design (e.g. OLC, CLC, Protection, HMI)

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3) is a plus

• Initial experience in testing, commissioning, or applied engineering is an advantage

• Willingness to travel globally for commissioning assignments (approx. 20% of working time)

• Fluency in English and German
