Job summary

ETH Zürich is seeking a Product Owner to lead the ongoing technical and functional development of its AEM-based web platform. The role sits in the Web team of the University Communications department and is based in Zürich.

The permanent position is 60–80% workload, requiring collaboration with development, design, analytics, UX, and editors, and using Scrum and Jira to drive backlog and releases. You will shape the roadmap, translate requirements into epics and stories, and ensure accessibility

Qualifications

3–5 years of Product Owner experience for complex web platforms
Hands-on knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Experience with Scrum and Jira, backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria
Experience in functional testing and coordinating CMS releases
Good technical understanding of web architectures, deployment processes, and HTML/CSS basics
Strong communication with diverse stakeholders and external service providers
Structured, precise, team- and solution-oriented work style
Responsible use of generative AI tools

Responsibilities

Shape the platform roadmap and contribute to technical and functional direction
Prioritise backlog based on goals, user needs, and analytics insights
Translate requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria within Scrum
Test and document CMS components across environments and manage sign-off
Coordinate release management and communicate clearly with audiences
Maintain the web manual and ensure accessibility, data protection, information security, and web performance
Advise web editors and web managers on technical and conceptual questions
