DECTRIS Ltd in Switzerland seeks a Product Compliance and Sustainability Expert to lead product, material and digital compliance (CE, REACH, RoHS, CRA) and to develop internal processes.

You will drive ESG strategies and decarbonization, monitor laws, translate requirements into guidelines and checklists, ensure product safety, coordinate labs, and work with Development, Purchasing, Quality, Production and Management.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, natural sciences, industrial engineering, or law.
• In-depth expertise regarding REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS, POPs, Prop 65 and digital compliance (CRA, Data Act).
• Knowledge of product safety and EMC standards (IEC 61010) and ESG, decarbonization and due diligence.

Product Compliance and Sustainability Expert

Your Tasks

• Overall responsibility for product, material, and digital compliance (e.g., CE, REACH, RoHS, CRA), as well as the development and adaptation of internal processes to current requirements
• Development and implementation of sustainability, decarbonization, and ESG strategies (including human rights, conflict minerals, and responsible sourcing) in all target markets
• Ongoing analysis of national and international laws and their translation into internal guidelines, checklists, and specifications for product development
• Ensuring product safety (including safety reports and coordination with testing laboratories) and preparing all standard and customer-specific conformity documents
• Coordinating supplier inquiries regarding compliance issues, conducting risk assessments of components, and establishing due diligence and ESG reporting processes
• Responding to customer inquiries (ESG questionnaires, audits) and collaborating across departments with Development, Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Management

Your Skills

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, natural sciences, industrial engineering, or law, with a strong technical understanding
• In-depth expertise regarding REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS, POPs, Prop 65, as well as digital compliance requirements (e.g., CRA, Data Act)
• Knowledge of product safety and EMC standards (e.g., IEC 61010), as well as experience in the areas of ESG, decarbonization, and supplier due diligence
• In-depth familiarity with product development processes to integrate regulatory requirements early on and in a pragmatic manner, from the concept phase through to mass production
• An analytical, structured, and independent approach to work, with the ability to assess compliance risks in a solution-oriented manner even when data is incomplete
• Business-level proficiency in German and English, as well as strong communication and presentation skills for working at interdisciplinary interfaces
