Holcim is seeking an innovative Process Data Scientist to develop ML and physics-based models for calciner and kiln optimization, deploying AI to improve energy efficiency and reduce CO2 across Plants of Tomorrow.

You will design models, deploy on cloud/edge, and collaborate with process engineers to drive the global adoption of P-PREDICT across sites, requiring MS/PhD and 3+ years in heavy industry ML.

Qualifikationen

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems & Control, or equivalent.
• C3.ai Certifications or equivalent enterprise AI framework certification (Advantage).
• 3+ years’ experience in applied ML and data science for heavy industry process optimization.
• 2+ years productizing ML models in production (Cloud and EDGE).
• 2+ years in industrial change management and knowledge transfer.

Aufgaben

• Design, configure, and validate hybrid ML models combining physics-based and AI approaches for calciner and kiln optimization.
• Develop predictive soft sensors for real-time process variables and fuel/ clinker forecasting.
• Build multi-variable target recommenders for control loops of kilns and equipment.
• Apply deep learning, time-series, and probabilistic modeling to predict operational hazards.
• Own end-to-end model lifecycle: feature engineering, deployment, tuning, and retraining.
• Collaborate with vendors on deployments and Holcim proprietary solutions.
• Design operator dashboards with explainable AI metrics and reason codes.
• Facilitate global adoption of P-PREDICT and PoT initiatives; provide knowledge transfer.
