Sécheron Hasler Group in Geneva seeks a Power Electronics R&D Engineer to join our Electrical Safety Solutions unit. You will develop high‑power electronics concepts, perform simulations, and support hardware development and validation of fast-switching circuit breakers and related technologies.

You will collaborate with mechanical, thermal, system, and test engineers across multidisciplinary teams, contribute to design reviews and roadmaps, and help drive innovation from concept through

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics and switching technologies.
• Experience with power semiconductor devices (IGBT, GTO, MOSFET, SiC).
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, LTspice or equivalents.
• Knowledge of power electronics lab testing and measurement techniques.
• Good understanding of thermal, electrical, and system-level design.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary R&D teams.

Aufgaben

• Support feasibility studies, proof-of-concept developments and innovation projects.
• Develop simulation models and test methodologies.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvements and cost optimization.
• Contribute to IP generation and technology roadmaps.
• Support hardware development, lab validation, and demonstrators.
• Contribute to design reviews, documentation, validation, and milestones.
• Support industrialization and product maintenance activities as required.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, system, and test engineers.
