Job summary

Sécheron Hasler Group is seeking an intern for the Traction Power Systems R&D team to support development and validation of power electronic converters and control solutions for railway and industrial applications.

The 6‑month internship starts January 2027, with mentorship from experienced R&D engineers and exposure to real-world railway technology projects in an international engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics or related field.
• Strong interest in power converters, control systems and energy conversion.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and analyzing power electronic converters.
• Support development and validation of control algorithms.
• Participate in laboratory testing, measurements, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze simulation/test results and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
