ABB's Power Device Physics team seeks a PhD‑level researcher to advance dielectric insulation research. You will lead and contribute to complex experiments, simulations, and prototype development within a cross‑functional R&D context.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers across ABB divisions, publish findings, and drive projects toward practical, sustainable energy solutions, leveraging state‑of‑the‑art tools and facilities in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifikationen

  • PhD in physics or electrical engineering; publications welcome.
  • Hands‑on experience in a scientific or industrial lab setting.
  • Experience with simulations and multi‑physics tools.

Aufgaben

  • Conduct applied research on dielectric insulation and multi‑physics topics.
  • Lead research projects towards sustainable energy transformation.
  • Plan, set up, and execute scientific experiments and measurements.
  • Develop prototypes and translate findings into technology development.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
  • Publish scientific results and contribute to IP generation.
